The biggest difference between Ceramic Brake Pads and metal BRAKE PADS is that the metal content is very low. Brake pads will generate instantaneous high temperatures during braking, especially when driving at high speed or emergency braking. Under high temperature conditions, the friction coefficient of the friction pad will decrease, which is called thermal decay. For ceramic brake pads, even when the temperature of the brake disc is as high as 650 degrees, the brake pad still has a high friction coefficient to ensure safe braking. It can be seen that the thermal decay of the brake pad is very small.
